The Balance Board is a 14-inch disc that tilts in every direction — forward, back, side to side and all the way around. So no two stands feel quite the same, and your child's body learns to keep adjusting. It's made from the same textured, non-slip material as Kee&Ka Stepping Stones, so little feet stay put even when the board doesn't.
How it grows with your child
- 6–12 monthsSensory play. Babies sit on the board with a grown-up close by, feel its gentle tilt, and pat and grip the textured top.
- 1–2 yearsFirst balance. New walkers step on and off, then try standing with a hand to hold, building ankle strength and early coordination.
- 2–3 yearsWobble games. Standing still while it tilts, leaning slowly side to side, counting how long they can stay on.
- 3 years and upChallenges. One-foot holds, catching a ball while balanced, and the wobbly island at the centre of an obstacle course they build themselves.

What age is this suitable for?
From 6 months right through to 5 years and beyond. Babies start by crawling over and patting the stones, new walkers use them for first balance practice, and older children build their own obstacle courses. It's one of the few toys that doesn't get outgrown in a season.
Is it safe for young children?
Yes. Every stone has a non-slip textured top and a wide, stable base, with rounded edges and no sharp corners or pinch points. Finishes are non-toxic and each batch is checked before it ships.
As with any climbing or balance play, we'd suggest supervising children under two.
What skills does it help build?
Balance, core strength and gross motor coordination, plus spatial awareness — judging the distance to the next stone before committing to a step.
The quieter benefits matter just as much: planning a route, taking turns with siblings, and getting back up after a wobble.
Can we use it outdoors?
Yes — the non-slip surface works on grass, tile and wooden flooring alike. Bring the stones in and let them air-dry fully afterwards rather than leaving them out overnight.
